Budgam’s Dambal Dadompora village without water supply, residents protest | KNO

Budgam, Nov 23 (KNO): Inhabitants of Dambal Dadompora area in Budgam are up in arms against the Jal Shakti department for failing to provide adequate water supply to them. Talking to reporters, during the protest, the residents, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), accused the concerned department of ignoring their plight, saying that despite the cold winter, women have to collect water from a distance. They said that the area has been facing immense hardships due to the water crisis for the last three months and they are being forced to consume contaminated water as nobody is paying heed to their sufferings. The protesters appealed to the district administration to look into the matter. A concerned official said the public grievance will be addressed soon and water supply to the area will be restored permanently as soon as possible—(KNO)
